Driven by a Japonist tropism, we continually return to the traditional figure of the rice-paper lantern, reimagining it, diverting it, and modernizing it. The Bari floor lamp is our most imposing interpretation: set atop a light oak base that is stained and varnished, and crowned with a shade in abaca, a highly durable plant fiber also native to Southeast Asia. Its verticality combines elegantly with its curves, as gentle as the light diffused by this large floor lamp.
