Chambord

The Chambord coffee table embraces asymmetry and plays brilliantly on two fronts: oak and ceramic. Six oak legs support two tabletops—one square, the other rectangular—forming the table’s underlying structure. Smooth, softly rounded edges invite touch, while along the perimeter of each top runs a narrow “opening”: a slit of light, a deliberate void through which the floor becomes visible. The entire Chambord line is a nod to the De Stijl movement of the 1920s, itself inspired by the first skyscrapers.
Another signature element of the collection, the rectangular top is clad in a geometric composition of handcrafted ceramic tiles, each one unique, as the firing process creates subtle variations in the glaze. A dialogue between materials, eras, crafts and savoir-faire, this piece has a rich story to tell from the very first glance.
