An Easy chair like a construction set, and a nod to the De Stijl movement of the 1920s. Its apparent structure – an interlacing of fine "bars" with a square section of black-tinted oak, horizontal and vertical – of course evokes Mondrian, who was inspired by skyscrapers and avoided the diagonal. Just like the dialogue between black and color, dear to the master of “radical abstraction”. Much less rigid, our Chambord chair has a soft suspended seat, a comfortable backrest and a cushion to support the back. Like a “deck”, a shelf covered in ceramic tiles extends it. Handcrafted and always different, their random design takes on the blue of the fabric and the black of the base. Because, we can adore rigor, and poetry too.
